the new edition of lonny mag should come with a warning: it will seriously affect your day’s productivity levels and leave you with a scorching case of the wants. so many gorgeous spreads and a lot to leave you inspired! love that this magazine is so well done and is published for free online for all to enjoy.

1. apple 30″ led cinema display; 2. pom-poms are the new bunting, from tika; 3. desk fan from cinni; 4. united bamboo 2010 cat calendar (ooga booga’s out of stock – boo!); 5. black elias chair and green mynta planter, both from ikea; 6. i could store receipts in this file box from three potato four; 7. desk lamp from orson & blake; 8. vintage globe from etsy.
this weekend is the fun (read: expensive) task of setting up a home office to make working from home that little bit more comfortable. no more laptop in bed! ok, maybe sometimes…
i like the look of lucy king’s studio and garden space, as seen on the design files earlier in the week. though i’m not sure the housemates would be impressed if i plastered the walls with magazine tear sheets, postcards and other bits of ‘inspiration’.

this renovated one-bedroom art deco apartment is for sale in new farm. i’d seriously consider marrying the next high-income earner to walk into this room if i could own it. though, while i’m fantasising, it would be this man and we’d live blissfully ever after in our tiny living quarters.
• japanese food. literally can’t get enough, especially after reading it will stop raining*.

• the new edition of french elle featuring alexa chung.

• french/moroccan interiors in the last issue of lonny magazine.

• the karen walker fall 2010 ready-to-wear collection

• new music to keep the energy up throughout the week: charlotte gainsbourg, spoon, hot chip and midlake.

• jamie oliver’s ted prize wish.
• the new vanessa bruno spring collection, via bliss.

• the home of illustrator kat heyes, as seen on daydream lily.

• mmmm, donuts.

• a diy project for a rainy weekend: doily pillow tutorial.

• dressing up in some chanel temporary tattoo jewellery, as seen on dree hemmingway and photographed by garance doré.

while it’s all grey and rainy in brisbane right now, i thought i’d look for some colourful inspiration to brighten the day! this sneak peak on design*sponge hits the spot perfectly.

lyn gardener’s gorgeous “white house” has given me a serious case of the wants. how lush is that bedroom? and don’t get me started on the kitchen. all this gives me an even greater desire to take a mini holiday to picture-perfect daylesford. anyone want to join me?
