sometimes i spend entire days at work looking at images like these. mostly this is great. sometimes it just fuels my wanderlust to the point where i could burst.

for the few days we were at home taking in evacuees from surrounding suburbs the sun was shining and the atmosphere was more like a big sleepover party than a natural disaster. and judging from the lines at the local drive through, we weren’t alone!

glad to know that all my friends, family and their pets came out of this safe and sound… and in aid of those that didn’t, i urge people to contribute to red cross australia and the rspca.

when it’s grey and gloomy outside, i crave a cozy, comforting space like this one. soft, dim lights, white walls displaying knicks and knacks, places to curl up and read a book or be creative… plus a well-stocked bar.

currently obsessed with this one-bedroom apartment filled with vintage trinkets, mid-century furniture and old records, all swathed in glorious scandinavian light!

gardening inventor michael riley has figured out a way to grow a wall of plants inside his apartment in new york city. it took a few expeditions to south america, more than a decade and a half of research, and a whole lotta cork. his system doesn’t require any dirt as the plants survive on water and fertiliser alone. i think it’s marvellous!
