so it’s now been a whole six weeks since quitting sugar and the chocolate cravings have been, up until now, kept safely at bay.
then thanks to garance i spent a full hour trying to find an online store that will deliver some blocks of chocolatey goodness by the mast brothers to my address in australia. the thought of the almond and sea salt combination had me dribbling on my keyboard.
is the idea of spending $50 + shipping on 5 blocks of chocolate completely crazy? a craving taken too far? sadly i can’t see it through as no one ships outside of the united states. *tears*
planning to make this to serve with a fresh tomato salad, crusty bread and a few wedges of cheese for brunch with friends tomorrow.
1. tran-seasonal dressing on carolines mode. love the sweater and wang bag. and the combination of kate moss’s poppy dress with biker boots and blue socks.

2. european places and spaces that have caught my eye recently.

3. dreaming of escaping to a country cottage with my close friends and sipping wine as the sun sets over the tree tops.

4. quitting smoking has been hard. it’s been replaced by cheese and wine and all manner of delicious foods and as a result my clothes are feeling very snug at the moment. so today i’m starting a *diet*. argh. just clean salads and fruit with plenty of swimming and yoga until the kilos have melted away.

5. i’ve burned through a few great novels in the last month or so. heading to the local book store to re-stock my bedside table…

these wild rice patties have just made my weekend agenda. how good do they look??! might try adding some seeds and currants to experiment with it a bit. thank you fresh365
i have been dying to try mast brothers chocolate but am yet to find it anywhere locally. this video by cool hunting does nothing to dampen my desire.
hey you! yeah i’m talking to you two cute, bearded, chocolate brothers. start shipping to australia!!
using a combination of this recipe, this recipe and with a few modifications, these cinnamon raisin bagels turned out really well! the process is very labour-intensive so i have to admit it’s far easier to go and buy some from the shops. the taste (and subsequent wheat-induced stomach ache) was definitely worth it…
this week, the housemates get a baker & spice chocolate marble cake. just in time for a) someone’s exams, b) someone’s promotion and c) someone’s stressful day(s) at work dealing with useless phone company “customer service” teams. tuck in, team!
rubbing shoulders with kate lanphear, corine roitfeld and some be-trenched fashionistas at the topshop café set up for london fashion week. how divine, daaaaarling.
