enjoying the pics over at them thangs. feeling a bit mono this friday.
now exhibiting at joshua levi galleries in woolloongabba is this talented bugger by the name of georg whelan. if you get the chance to see his work in person, you won’t regret it. he’s being touted as the new anthony lister… at least that’s the last thing i remember being said before forcing my housemate to buy me a belated birthday present (thanks, evs!).
the clip below is a time lapse of georg doing his thing to the side of the gallery building. love how he changes his mind several times and paints over his work. also love how he takes of his pants.

one of the first lessons i was taught in photography was to look around; keep your eyes open! i’m still trying to get better at this, and some people are obviously more skilled and patient than me.
these pictures by street photographer matt stuart, whose tagline is – cleverly – matt stuart shoots people, exposes everything, inspires me to open my eyes just a little bit wider.

happy friday, everyone. poster courtesy of monsieur cabinet.
stefan sagmeister, you’re my hero.

this gorgeous calligraphy by leigh wells might have inspired me to learn a new skill. there might be a trip to the art supplies shop over the weekend!
